Athletic and academic aid

Stackable: Flag football is an equivalency sport at most aid-granting levels, so athletic + academic aid can often be combined; confirm the school's policy.
Source note
Tusculum's own hiring posting states it is hiring a Head Coach of Women's Flag Football 'for the inaugural Spring 2028 flag football season', and places the program among its 24 varsity programs in NCAA D-II and the South Atlantic Conference. Local coverage carries the school's announcement with quotes from VP for Athletics Josh Ealy and President Scott Hummel: newest varsity sport, inaugural recruiting class on campus fall 2027, competition beginning spring 2028. The SAC now has six members with programs and could begin sponsoring the sport in 2027-28, but has not, so the flag conference is unknown. Verified 2026-10-22.
