Athletic and academic aid
Academic/merit: Merit/academic aid is typically available at four-year schools; confirm the school-specific options.
Stackable: Flag football is an equivalency sport at most aid-granting levels, so athletic + academic aid can often be combined; confirm the school's policy.
Source note
School's own release (2026-10-15) names Jason Sonnenfelt the first head flag football coach in CBU history, with the inaugural season set for 2028. Division and conference are the ones CBU will actually be in when that season is played: CBU was approved for NAIA membership in the Mid-South Conference effective July 1, 2027 (its own announcement, 2026-09-28, which lists women's flag football as one of three new varsity sports), a year before the first flag season. CBU leaves NCAA D-II after 2026-27. Verified 2026-10-22.
