Athletic and academic aid

Academic/merit: Merit/academic aid is typically available at four-year schools; confirm the school-specific options.

Stackable: Flag football is an equivalency sport at most aid-granting levels, so athletic + academic aid can often be combined; confirm the school's policy.

Source note

School's own release (2026-10-14) adds women's flag football as its 27th VARSITY sport. The release gives the window two ways: 'begin competition in the 2027-28 academic year' and, twice, competition starting in fall 2027 with the inaugural class arriving fall 2027. Dated from the school's explicit term, fall 2027 -- but nearly every other program in this catalog plays in the spring, so a family should confirm the term with Iona before planning around it. The existing club team continues alongside the varsity program; coaching and schedule to be announced. Verified 2026-10-22.
