Athletic and academic aid
Academic/merit: Merit/academic aid is typically available at four-year schools; confirm the school-specific options.
Stackable: Flag football is an equivalency sport at most aid-granting levels, so athletic + academic aid can often be combined; confirm the school's policy.
Source note
August MEAC announcement specifies 2026-27 competition and explicitly calls Gardner-Webb's season inaugural, superseding its older 2027-28 plan.
